Recommendation of where to buy Aluminium Extrusion.

I'm trying to source a UK supplier of 8020 aluminium extrusion do any of you have any recommendations?
I'll only buy buying about 4 meters.

KJN aluminium profiles is another possibility.

Depending on how that 4m is distributed among the pieces (4 x 1m lengths; 1 x 4m length), the delivery cost might be a deciding factor in your choice of supplier.

Dore Metals have an extensive range of aluminium if you're based in Kent or near Bristol (they also ship and have a cutting service).

Always found them to be very competitive and good to deal with.

Not sure if they will carry 8000 series, but they may be able to get it for you (worst they can say is no...)

Regulations in Europe are different and so we will indeed be bringing a different version of our T-Glide fence that is really popular on our cast-iron cabinet saws. That will have high / low function as well as an aluminium extrusion which can be moved to be shorter or longer along the face of the fence - so I think that is what was being asked about.

Be interesting to know how this is coming along, as none of these extrusions are that handy for use with a crown guard.

Anyone else know of a supplier which will sell something with a high/low function for a tablesaw?

He is looking for 8020 aluminium extrusion (example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gloss-Aluminium-Extrusion-Profile-20x80mm/dp/B08LL6VTZL) not material grade.

I am not even sure 8020 is a material grade in the 8000 series.

To the OP: the stuff seems to be called 2080 with almost the same frequency as it is called 8020, so checking both search terms might assist.

My bad, clearly misunderstood what he was looking for there.

I figured it might have been a more exotic grade I hadn't come across, or something the Americans use...

8020 may be more available from small / DIY CNC outfits.
KJN are much more about material handling and industrial machine building which needs bigger profiles 4040, 8040, 9090 and the like. I didn't see 8020 in their list of sizes.

The name brands are i-tech and bosch rexroth.

Thats why I thought of Oznest , they are more than happy to deal with in there words tinkerers, they cut to length and provide other services as well as a range of hardware.

@Britman has also not given us any clues as to the intended application so it is possible this could even be the wrong material for the job.

Thank you for the info, Ooznest does look like the most straight forward and easiest to order from.

Valuframe website it stuck in the 90's with no way to order online! You know they don't care when the price list is 10 years out of date.

So quick update, 2080 wasn't set in stone so I've found a good deal on Matara.com for 3090 profile. 4.5m for £133 delivered. 10 day lead time but I'm cool with that.
