Recommend a finish

Made a little box for a present, it will be a late one

Can’t remember what the species is! It looks nice just polished (needs some work yet) but I’d like to put something on to protect it. Will Liberon finishing oil followed by Briwax (my typical go to) be OK?

Finishing oil and wax is just right for a little box like that. I think it is Cocobolo btw.
