Whenever i use the 'Follow Me' tool to put a round over or ogee profile on the edge of a table top for example, I get a small cut out like this.

Untitled.jpg

I do it by drawing the 2d shape of the profile I want on one of the sides, select the four sides of the table top, click follow me and then click the profile I have drawn.

Am I doing something wrong? If not is there something I can do to get rid of this? I have tried tracing over the cut out shape and then erasing the sides, which works but the shape is still noticable.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Simon,

You are not doing anything wrong. Due to some form of mis-coding deep in the heart of SU these things tend to happen with small detail.

The work-round is to make it big detail. Scale your pieces up with the scale tool (10 or 100 times), do the Follow Me, then scale them back down again.
