Following on from an earlier posting I've just got back from a very nice visit to the said Isle, had a very relaxing stay while the sun never stopped shining, lovely walks and friendly natives.

A few random made up internet facts:-
The IOW bus company uses 50% of the entire world output of Locktite
There are five times more churches than pubs.
The IOW speed signs as opposed to the mainland are targets, I think you get a prize if you can go that fast!
The bus drivers are all on max strength tranquilizers.
They only eat chips and ice cream.
The underground goes overground.
It never rains during the day.
Every where sells ice cream but no Ice cream vans.
The air displays over Portsmouth are better from the IOW.
Did I say don't sit at the front on the top deck of the buses with out a hard hat, (trees)
You will come away with a longer list of the things that you didn't see than the list of things that you wanted to when you went.

Will definitely be going again.

Excellent, did you take the red-funnel ferry or the new tunnel?

Couldn't get a ticket for the tunnel I think it must have been booked up for the festival goers.

It's well worth booking ahead for next time - some of the views are fantastic.
