Here’s yesterdays attempt, oak bowl which I scorched on the outside, filled cracks with black ca glue, then polished with gold Hampshire Sheen.

So a bit of a slow start today, running low on dry/usable wood so was stood staring at my stockpile for a while, ended up settling on using up some bits I had lying to one side ranging from 2 to 3 inches diameter, the next conundrum was what to make with it, the bark (if you can call it that) is very spongy and doesn't stay on very well, threw a bit in the chuck, started removing wood and ended up with these little beauties,

Can anyone guess the wood? Hint- it smells like black pepper whilst cutting it 😁
