I'm on the look out for a circular saw (hand held) to replace the Makita one that was stolen.
Thought I might as well look for a left handed model seeing as they seem to be more easily available than they used to be. Using right handed ones was a bit of a pain as I had to cross hands if I was using both handles and getting saw dust dumped into my trainers isn't good :D

I've seen this one from Porter Cable, which looks good but I've never owned or used any of there stuff so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are like, etc?

Also would I need some sort of transformer and plug adaptor, etc?

thanks

I have a Porter Cable router that I imported from the US via coastaltool.com . Works fine through a 110v site transformer. Tool quality is also good and it is the fixed base model that I wanted. I ended up paying the USDollar price at 1:1 conversion into Sterling once I has accounted for express shipping, card feed and customs. This is worth remembering when looking at "temptingly cheap" US prices.

That saw gets a very good reveiw in the US and from people that use the EZ as it is very good for DX but I have not used it my self :)
I am not sure but I think it also comes with a brake on the blade but dont hold me to it :)
