Hi, we have decided to finish our table with polyurethane varnish. We have several coats of danish oil and it looks great but we want more of a shine. Has anyone got any tips for the application of the varnish? We are concerned you will see brush strokes!!! Thanks.

Brush strokes shouldn't be a problem if you use a good pure bristle brush. It should flow out and lose the brush marks.Long drying time means dust landing on it will be more of an issue

Put the varnish on with a sponge or a piece of foam mix the varnish with upto 50% white spirit try on a spare piece of wood first and just wipe it on you will get avery good even surface.
Good luck.
Anselm. :)
