Polishing Resin on a cricket bat

Hi all,

any idea on the best way to get this resin to shine ?

Ive had to sand it down due to some spillage but cant get this to shine up.... i have tried 240 grit sandpaper and using a 3in1 cut polish item

any tips ?

Resin needs to be polished a lot higher than 240 grit it you want it to shine. I would go up to at least 1000 before using a cutting compound, normally to 2000 grit.
