You could always un-cap both ends & put a tub/bucket under the bottom tapping of the coil, if it fills with water you have a leaky coil.

They usually go with a pin hole forming in the coil & the give away signs are that the central heating header tank starts over flowing as the bigger domestic hot water header tank is usually higher & the water is trying to find its own level.

Edit, depending on how you`ve capped the ends you could be getting a pressure drop as some plumbing fittings aren`t air tight
