Any help as an idea without power tools - except an electric drill? A YouTube video... about a year ago... cost about £50

I've seen this. There is literally no jointing there and everything is screwed.

With you mentioning in an earlier reply I thought it may help give some ideas for your hand tools only situation. Only power tool being the electric drill. Seems simple enough, maybe not as "professional looking" construction wise (screw heads in the frames) but does show an approach to make without power tools. Could use mortise and tenon joints instead of the screws... different timber thickness etc.
