Plane knobs

Does anyone have any idea what thread (guess its BSW) on the rod that carries the front Knob on Stanley planes is?
I want to turn some low profile knobs and need some shorter thread stems.
Also I assume its the same thread in the handle?

Hi,

I have a tap and die to cut the English plane thread I bought from the US of A!!! its 20tps and 1/4 inch not a common size, so I could make you some up just let me know how long they need to be and how many you need and I will make you some.
