That's the problem where do you find an old friendly plumber?
Buy a copy of plumbers weekly and check out the lonely hearts section in the back
As @Spectric said, whats the draw with pipe clamps? ( I havent used them )

I recently listed 4 sets of those heads on fleabay auction. Imagine my amazement when they sold for £125 + pp !There are clamp heads you can put on a bit of wood for those times you need a really long clamp.
I did some sums at the time and decided that pipe clamps were just not worth it. I have a mixed bag of old and newer sash clamps but nothing long enough for a queen bed. I only needed 2 and have not required anything really long since. These heads cost me about 10 quid a clamp and I think do a better job. View attachment 119956View attachment 119957

Try a local pipework company to see if they can thread it for you. Some will have NPT dies.Hi,
I've just received 4 Pony Jorgensen clamps 3/4" but the head threads are NPT... I've purchased by mistake some galvanised pipes (from Specialists in industrial style from industrial pipes) but with the British standard (BSP) and obviously I can't screw the clamp head to the pipe!
I can't find any supplier in the UK which can thread the ends with NPT. What's my alternative? ;-)
