A mate of mine asked me if this Scheppach-RAB-S16X floor drill was worth looking at?

I know nothing about these (I have a B&W "Quatro" mains hand drill that does me OK mostly) - apparently owning a lathe and a decent hand plane makes you an expert (!) - he's wanting something for accurate drilling for all sorts of carpentry/joinery.

I've been reasonably impressed by the quality of their bandsaws - does anyone own one of these to suggest "thumbs up" or "run away!"?

we've got the axminster version of that at work and its okay (they are virtually identical except for the colour scheme) - however note that as its a radial - that is the head moves backwards and forwards -it will take up a deal of space.

if your freind is pressed for space and the ability to drill lots of parallel holes isnt important to him he'd be better off with a more compact version like this
