Photographing Projects

Perhaps my memory is faulty, but I seem to recall that somebody once posted a very useful guide to photographing projects. I think it involved building a box with translucent sides to diffuse the light on the the subject inside.

I've searched for the post, but to no avail. Does anyone know which post it was, or is it a figment of my imagination?
