Hello Everyone, Can I just say thank you to all those people who have offered me support and advice while trying to get my photo on to the forum. it was very much appreciated. In answer to Adam's question, I am not a paid up member of "imagestation". Tried that after reading your Sticky but the photo kept disappearing. Paid up to "uploadit.org" but cannot upload. My computor Guru is back off holiday and is coming to advise.
To frank, Yes its oak, rescued from a skip. Got another project now with the rest of it. Cheers Alan.

Great stuff, a fiver for the mechanism, timber from a skip. Not only that but it stacks up very well on its own merits. I think the fact that it is reclaimed oak has helped give it a patina of age that contributes well to the overall effect.

Nice work Alan... great job of recycling, ... immensely satifying to create a thing of beauty from others' discards...
