I fancy knocking up a photo frame for the wife's birthday (last of the big spenders, me). Got a bit of oak, beech and purpleheart lying about. Anybody got any suggestions?
My suggestion would be to use primarily either oak or beech, and if you must, only a tiny bit of the purple heart to contrast. Oak and Beech are both palish woods; so not sure if they would contrast well together.
