hi all i have a phillipson 12" disc sander i have done a google search and just comes up with wadkin just wondered if anyone has any info thanks andy

I have used a Phillipson oscillating bobbin sander and it was an excellent machine.I expect that your sander will be equally good.My memory is telling me that the company founder was a patternmaker who was finding it hard to get hold of good machines and who then deduced that there would be other people in the same position.Consequently he had some machines made and the business followed.

It looks like your extraction could use a boost judging from the dust on the machine.
 
Hi thanks it was given to me and not sure what to do with it as I already have a disc , belt sander that does what I need but not as good quality . and the sawdust came with it

Andy these sanders are Pattern makers class and far exceed woodworking tool standers. Some and me included say there the best in the world for pattern making. I do believe that is why Wadkin has set out to remake this top of the line group of sanders.
