Hi. I'm building a Mitre sawe saw station and hopping in buying a perfect stop from axminster. The problem is out of stock at the moment, but this doesn't stop me to complete the station. I received the Self Adhesive Scales my question which meassures should I used in the piece of Wood where the scale rest (obviously the length is the length of the sticky scale). hope my quection make sence.
Many thanks

Sorry Andy but, no, i'm not with you?

Do you mean where do you set the self adhesive tape? If so then the left to right needs to go on the left side of the blade with 0 lined up with the left top of the blade. Vice-a-versa for the other side.

I got one and I think Paul Chapman has one too.

Get a length of board, use the saw to cut a mark, measure from that cut to whatever (400mm is what I used but it could be any measurement) mark that length on the fence. it's that measurement what your tape needs to read at the mark on the fence

48mm wide..it tightens up across the width and 57mm high (minimum)

For the rules you might want to consider the ones that read up side down..if you get my drift..because the normal ones end up being upside down.

I did a mini-review here

As near as you can get to the saw without impeding it especially if the saws own fence is adjustable. Like the lefthand side of my saw in this pic

The right hand side is nearly touching the saw.

Someone has mentioned having to read the tape upside down when used on the left of the saw, this is not necessary if you get a tap that reads right to left.
