hi all
this might be a bit cheeky but what sort of price do you guys charge for your pens.people are starting to ask me for them, any help would be great.
thanks
andy

hi andy
very debatable subject pricing your goods.

IMHO It depends on what you have used for the pen, expensive wood, cheap wood, corian or acrylic.

Secondly what kit you have used, 24k, platinum, titanium or rhodium, these all change the price you can charge. (ps there is someone on ebay saying his stuff is rhodium because its silver, i asked him if they came with certificates and he said no, steer clear because all the " iums" come with certs.

I never charge for time, its my hobby and i would be in the cabin anyway, so only for the kit and the turning material.

If you care to press the www button at the bottom of this post it will take to you some of the pens i have for sale, just for a guide.

Went to a Rally about 1 1/2months ago and there was a chap there selling pens on average about £12-£15 each depending on what they were made of. He did have some dearer but not many

hi andy
simple answer is yes, but you do have to take more care, light cuts and sharp tools.
If using acrylic try and finish off with renaisance wax as this stops any finger prints on the acrylic and keeps its shine.

have a go..
