Here's a couple of pen/pencil pots, elm and ash (l-r). 100mm high by 75mm diameter approx. Inspired by a Richard Raffan design in one of his books. These make great gifts.

Very nice detailing.

Very nice.

But in 3 weeks both will be devoid of pencils. Instead they'll be on the floor,down the back of the bench/thicknesser/sander, on a shelf or 5.
I reckon you'd be better buying a box of pencils, then scattering them across the workshop like you're seeding a field.

True, I do buy pencils by the box, no idea where they all go to. However, I've given all the pencil pots away.

I like them
