Thanks for taking an active role by reporting suspicious-looking emails.
The email you forwarded to us is a phishing email, and our security team
is working to disable it.

(An email sent to me telling me I had to update my pay pal or be excluded from there customer list. )

I posted above thread because I had received a paypal suspicious mail and it appears there are some nasty paypal messages coming into email in boxes and this one looked very authentic, it was threatening to close my paypal account unless I replied.

The same thing happened with ebay a few years back, luckily I didn't get drawn in.

I've just had one purporting to be ebay and forwarded it, without comment and as is, to [email protected]

I got the same email 2 days ago. Looked very real, but it asked for bank details, birtday date, they wanted me to scan in my driving licence.
I sent to paypal, and they gave me same answer.

Just forward any suspicious emails to [email protected]
Don't follow any links in the email at all. PayPal will soon tell you if the email is genuine.

A long time ago I got one of those 409 scam emails from Nigeria - the ones where they promise you millions in commission for handling found funds from decesaed and untraceable people (yeah, right!). I replied asking for the senders bank account details so that I could set up the transfer. Never heard from Nigeria again. Guess I was lucky :lol:
