finished my new workbench along the lines of the one posted on Matt E's YT channel.
have ordered a bunch of benchdogs but i am looking for a clamping system that works with the parf system and could do with some advice if any of you have some experience with these.

You need to watch Peter's video.

I have a pair of the Walko clamps that Peter mentions. They look and work exactly like his Festool ones.
Pop in a few dogs to secure two adjacent edges of your board then use the clamps on the other two edges to push the work against the dogs.
If hand planing something long, then two dogs to push against and both clamps side by side like a tail vice at the opposing end of the board.

They are a specialised clamp and hard to substitute. I must take a look at the Banggood clones.

If you need to clamp something thick, it is too easy to lever the work out of the Festool / Walko clamps. Then you need a pair of tracksaw rail clamps. These are narrow enough to stick through the dog holes and you use the clamp upside down to hold the workpiece down onto the MFT top.

These work well with the MFT - just under £13 each inc delivery from Banggood

They're a decent alternative to the £40 Festool version

Just look at the matchfit system of dovetail slots, I use 20mm holes for alignment and matchfit slots for clamping and it all works well. The matchfit clamps also work on holding down the Makita tracksaw tracks and maybe others.

I should have said that when making a worktop using the Parf system I get all the 3mm holes drilled and then run the microjig slots between the rows of holes. I then go back to drill my 20mm holes but then use the microjig slots and clamps to firmly clamp the Parf jig in place whilst drilling and this prevents any rocking or movement and gives tighter holes.
