I want to buy paper roll for cleaning tools--some tools have rusty parts.
What is your experience of tear paper roll? Some better than others? 2ply or 3 ply? Best you have tried? Brand?

I use Tork brand towels (and dispenser) which I get from Costco - works for me. I did try a cheaper brand once that I found on Ebay and found it rather inferior, so returned to the Tork brand. Tork brand is available from several retailers besides Costco.

Avoid screwfix / B&Q. They used to sell Wypall under their own brand. That was great stuff. Now they're cheaped out and sell something horrid.
Aldi / Lidl white roll is fair value when it comes into stock time to time.
Wypall brand stuff is available from ebay and specialists. It comes in many variants and is costly, but much better. L30 is higher spec than L20. As it gets dearer, it goes from 2 layer to 3 layer, and they do make versions like the one that Screwfix used to sell that is low lint. Important for cleaning things that you don't want to leave full of fluff. The thing to know is that these big companies make paper for different applications and once you have worked out the right one for your needs, you should be happy.

I get the large blue rolls from a workwear place called main man supplies. They are about £12.50 for six big rolls. They are much cheaper than screwfix etc. And much better quality, denser paper and much more on a roll with a proper cardboard tube in the middle. They don't leave fluff everywhere like the nasty screwfix ones.
Tried loads and these are the best value.

Try you local Janitorial Suppliers they will have various qualities at reasonable price - well that what I found - have blue rolls centre pull on a old dispenser they gave me
