Hello,

the kids have cut out some airplane using scraps of plywood on a scroll saw. they now want to paint them but I'm not sure what to do to make it as simple as possible and reduce the sanding between coats. Does anyone have any ideas? would sealing the edge be a good ideas with a wash of pva/water or danish oil as i understand both can be painted over?

regards Andrew

I would have thought that sealing the edges with PVA would be a good idea.
It's not a bad thing to get the kids used to sanding between coats - get's them into good habits for the future.
