I made these about 6 months ago, 9 wardrobes altogether, like Jason B said in his link, hardest thing was getting them upstairs.

The house was a new build, it was the highest standard of build I have ever seen, built by the owner. So it was important to make the wardrobes top notch and grand in appearance.

The doors are on concealed soft close hinges, mainly because these seem to be in fashion at present, I like them because the doors can be easily adjusted on site

Top job sir ! Do the top pannels open or are they just for show ? I like it :D

Yes, those are very fine looking additions.

Well done.

Senior,
When I see examples of such excellant work I can't help but wonder what the rest of the furniture in the house looks like.

Nice looking wardrobes senior, what are the materials? solid timber or a combination of timber and boards.

They are a combination of beech, and moisture resistant MDF, with maple veneer interiors.

If I make anything painted I always make the doors out of moist res MDF
as its so stable and machines cleanly. Unless the customer asks for something different.

The beech is just paint grade, it looks a bit rough and ready when its delivered but cleans up OK, about £12-14 cu/ft.
