So after my last thread I have finally gone out and bought one and have decided to put it outside just to reduce the noise level and free up more space.

Anyway, I'm in the planning stages now of building the enclosure to put the extractor in and was wondering if people could post some photos of what they had done, as google isn't being very helpful.

Great news Doris - what extractor did you go for in the end?

Have you had a look on YouTube? I know April wilkerson did a couple of videos of this exact thing

I went for a Yorkleen WV150 in the end.

I didn't think of youtube, but having just looked at her video I think it's perhaps rather large for my needs. Looks good though.

Things to consider
Ease of access
Height not to low that you have to get on your hands and knees but not to high as you get a mouthful of dust overtime you unload it
straight route for the duct whether rigid or flexi
noise for the neighbours
exhaust dust (if any)
I made my lean too out of 3x2 framing and ply sheeting with a large door and a gently sloping roof

I'm not really sure how I'm going to be able to do this as my shed is quite small. I reckon I will have to put in a couple of right angles in order for the hose to reach all my tools.

Also make sure you don't enclose it too tightly that it over heats.
I was going to enclose it but have a vent at the top with a couple of walls to reduce the sound a bit. Dunno if it will make a difference though
