Hi all, from the edge to about 10-15cm in, one of the seams on my Ercol table is a little open (left hand side of the photo here). I inherited it from a family member so not sure how long it's been like this.
-- wait and just watch how it develops in the new environment?
-- glue or epoxy or fill (with or without clamping?)
-- ?

Any advice is welcome, I am a regular DIYer but certainly not a woodworker. Thanks a lot.

If that’s the table I think it is you would find it very difficult indeed to get a cramp on near the end like that.
I think I would wait and see what happens now you have it in its new setting. Welcome btw.

Thank you, yes it’s a 383 I believe from looking online. I think a bar clamp would go over the middle section okay but might need the drop leaves taking off to do so. Thanks for the advice!

I have an Ercol table with exactly the same issue, it been like it for 10 years without changing. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't move further then fill with restoration wax.
