In 1977 I was ask to help clear a derelict farm building in Knatts valley Kent so it could be surveyed, it had been a workshop on a remote part of the farm but a long time ago the roof had fallen in and it was totally overgrown
inside was odds and ends of tools all rusted or rotted away but I found the ends of a cast brass/ bronze sash clamp so after a good clean up and freeing the thread I made up a new Oak bar, still use it today.
But I've never been able to find a maker of any information about them, anyone know. 4b0UgaYHRzmXhwD4rV5kfg.jpgfullsizeoutput_19bf.jpeg

Maybe made by some local patternmaker for his own use?

You sometimes see unexpected tools cast from brass or bronze by someone with access to a brass or bronze foundry.
