The past three cold afternoons of mid October 15, I succumbed and spent 5 hours in the workshop and found some suitable lengths of timber laying around to work with so more boxes.
This timber was previously rejected owing to grain and working problems. The bandsaw, tablesaw, router and the thicknesser all did not like it. (even the jack plane tore chunks of grain out)
Anyway persevered and have got this far.

timber prepared.

Progress so far

Hopefully the weather will not hold me back.

And there's me thinking 'Octagonal Boxes'
Glad to see you're still in the workshop and receiving visits from old friends.

You wasn't the only one! But a fine box nonetheless

sorry about the confusion.

Mentioned earlier that the timber used has been difficult to work and example in the following photograph shows a knot/fault which did not appear on the outside. (timber reduced to 8mm thick)
