Oak table

Hi people, quite a newbie on here, but I bought a solid oak table some time back from an auction house, it looks like it's been outside as all the finish has gone, I was wondering the best finish to put on it, wax, oil or french polish? I plan to use it as a dining table, I don't like varnish

I've just finished an oak coffee table with this:

Brilliant stuff. Seems to suit oak especially.

If you don't like to use varnish, the you can go with oil finish or wax finish.

But if it use for outdoor it is better you do with spar varnish or outdoor polyurethane
