Hi All

This is my latest box which will be displayed at the Designyard in Dublin in July.
The lid features a Art Deco stepped design made up of 22 pieces of sawn bookmatched veneers, it has a black border with white corner inlays, it features 2 trays in sycamore and is lined in mulberry suede.
Fitted with nickel hardware and it has had several coats of danish oil finished of with wax.

I like the top, how did you do the white inlay and what is it?

How was the suede applied?

The inlay is polyester resin which is poured into a router cavity, after it is dry it can be easily worked.

The suede it applied to cut to size card first and then glued in, time consuming but worth it.
