Thanks Rob, I rang them on Friday and they told me they would collect the duff one and deliver a new one at the same time. Let's hope it's slightly better . Thanks for your help Rob. ;)

Random Orbital Bob and Vinnie_chip,

New machine arrived today. Working fine. Table flat and guides fine without splitting hairs.

Packaging similar to DM Tools though, so cannot blame supplier. Packaging needs bulked up a bit for machine of this weight I think.

Thanks to Rob and good luck to you Vinnie. If your replacement is as good as mine you'll be happy.

I should thank RP, but struggle just a wee bit to understand their quality control as regards myself an Vinnie, but thanks anyway.. :-k

Old bandsaw got collected today, courier didn't let me know they were coming so didn't have the chance to take the tuffsaws blade off! Spoke to RP they said they would replace the blade with one of theirs and told me the new bandsaw will arrive tomorrow. I'll let you know if it's any better than the first one ;)

Mine is also out but not as much as original. At least now I can see the blade. Did have to file table mounting holes wider in order to line up table with blade.

Maybe should have gone with Metabo, Makita, Draper, Charnwood, DeWalt, ad infinitum.....anybody but Record Power (hammer) !!!!

Mine is now working OK, but really have lost a wee bit of interest, and confidence in it. Keep your eye out in "For Sale" section..

Good luck with yours anyway.
