Why, when you call someone to report a problem, do they insist of replying "No problem"?

Or, "Okay"

Or, even worse, "Good".

When in fact, it isn't Good, it is not Okay and there definitely is a Problem, or else I wouldn't be ringing them!

Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!

Ooh, I feel better now.

I write software.... when someone reports a problem I think "good (that I know about this).... it needs to be fixed".

There is a problem whether or not it is reported, but until someone reports it I might not know and so others are possibly suffering from it. So it is good that you have reported it.

But then if it is Scottish Power (or talktalk....) then maybe I am being too charitable.
