Newbie!

Hi everyone,

I'm new round here, I only signed up a few minutes ago so I thought I'd say hello.

I'm Jamie, I'm 24. I work for a local timber company (Whitmores) and have always been interested in carpentry so in a few weeks I'm starting evening classes

In the meantime I thought I'd post a few of my previous projects on here and get reading

Hi Stig, I am not too far from Whitmores and have used them for some Oak, hope you dont mind me asking but where are you going for the evening classes, would it be Hinckley or somewhere else.

I'm going to Moulton College, I've got my interview on Monday afternoon I looked at Nuneaton and also at Rugby although there was a little bit of false salemanship there because it turned out that Rugby's prospectus had a course in it that didn't really exist!

As for Whitmore's, I work in the office so the next time you pop in feel free to say hi... truth be known we've probably already met, lol. If you've ever sent an e-mail to the company then it's probably been through me.

Welcome to the forum, it is a good place to spend some time.
I too have used Whitmores on numerous occasions, and intend to in the future, so will have to say "hi" when I next come in.
My adult woodworking was started with night classes at Market Bosworth, and it has been a slippery slope since then! Hope you get what you are looking for at Moulton.

Moulton College, is that Northampton, I take it that you live closer to Northampton than Leicester then, thats not a bad thing :lol:

I would think it would be quite some time before I get down to Whitmores as I have big pile of wood to get through but when I do i'll give you a shout.

I actually live just outside Lutterworth but I'd rather park my car in Northamptonshire than within 10 miles of Nuneaton, lol.
