That rabbit hole is deep and full of terror.

Realistically, use the biggest you can on the assumption that you vac can take it. No point using 100mm on a vac with a 50mm inlet or that is going though a 50mm cyclone for example.

What's the rest of the extractor system?

I have a router table with an outlet of 63/38 and a Trend T32 vacuum cleaner which has a 3m x 39mm OD hose with a hose spout of 35mm OD. Hope this is enough info. Thanks - Dave.

If you don't need it to be a 3m hose then make it as short as you can get away with.

And as the Trend has a 39mm inlet, no point going bigger on the hose (it might even be counterproductive so to do).
