I find a good winge helps to let off steam

So far the builders are 12 months behind with my new workshop... not all their fault, 6 months of it was down to the enviromental agency.

My existing workshop is next door to the new one so I have watched it grow slowly, the landlord promised it would be ready in two weeks that is up tomorrow. The day before yesterday I got in at 7.30 so I wandered around to see how things were going, as I got to the rear of the building I found one of the Eastern European builders sitting on the edge of the river.... Fishing !!!! Time was not of the essence.

Today He came running from the rear of the workshop Screaming with a large Signal Crayfish clamped onto his finger.

Then the roller shutter people turn up and fitted the roller shutter Great....Sadly they parked their van inside the workshop, yes you guessed it ....They coudn't get the van out.

I thought this was a good time to go home for a drink.

Thanks guys,

I did make me laugh as well, it is like watching Dummer & Dummer live.

It may have been a different story if I did not have an existing workshop.

Another update,

Well it is another month on and still the workshop is not finished, the DS would not pass it because the toilet was not clad in fireproof plasterboard and no extractor fan.

Well the eastern europeans covered the toilet in FR plasterboard after removing the mains board and the kitchen units, we ended up with more filler and paint on the newly painted floor than on the walls....yesterday I was laying out the new office when all the lights went off and smoke was coming out of the builders battery charger...a quick call to the landlord who turned up while I was out measuring a job, he rang me to say everything was ok. When I returned I turned on the the lights... one by one they all blew up, I thought this was a good time to bu**er off home.

Well I did laugh and expect you are all having a good chuckle.

Today my neighbour had a look at the mains board, switched off I had a live neutral ....Switched on I had 400volts through my 240 supply.

So If anyone wants a cup of tea I can now boil a kettle in 10 seconds.

I expect next week will be another laugh :)

P.S.

The toilet fan the EU boys wired up does not work.

Look on the bright side, now you can run 3 phase machinery without using a converter

My neighbour said I should be able to turn out twice as much work now :)

The qoute at the end of your post .

I don't know what i'm doing but i'll have a go......You stole that from the Polish builder.
