New Windows from scratch

Hi
I am currently renovating my garage and need to make 2 windows. I am planning on using door frames for the casing but would love a bit of advice pls.

I do want to make windows with openers if possible.

Any advice / links would be appreciated.

I found laminating up a frame worked well for me, as explained here. I'm just completing a version in iroko and will post shortly.
