Hello all - been away for far too long (laptop decided to explode!) but I've managed to produce a few new bits and would appreciate all giggles (you know who you are Chas!! )

Sorry for the big pics - getting used to Photobucket

I'm looking very hard to try and find something to giggle at but failing. :(

I like the boxes especially the one where you have got the grain matching across the lid and base.

In Photobucket, tick the little box underneath all the ones you want to post then go down the bottom of the page and click 'Generate HTML' choose the message board and it will automatically copy the code for you to post clickable thumbnails in your post

As Pete says, nothing wrong with those boxes, you did not use the easiest pieces of wood to work with but still achieved keepers.

On the goblet I think the base could have been a little wider for better balance.

You have obviously been putting your computer down time to better use.

Don't know about laughing i feel like crying :(
Very nice work, boxes are nice and i like the spalting,if that's what it is on the goblet base.
What timbers are they and finish applied :?:
Love the colour of the boxes :D

Mornin' Woody, now't to giggle about there. Keep up the good work, and look after the computer

Thanks all - It's good to be back :D

- The majority of the boxes are cherry from a tree felled in our garden years ago. The odd one out is apple.
The goblet was turned from a log destined to be firewood from a £2.50 bag!! All finished with bri-wax.

Chas - I knew I could rely on you and as per, you are totally correct - I was limited by the size of the log

Mark :D

Morning,Mark - nice to see you around again.
As already said,it's all very nice work - all looks nicely made, and very well finished :D
