New (Old) Oak Table and Chairs..

Hi all

Our old table and chairs having served more than enough years has been dumped. Was only a cheep veneered chipboard affair.

Anyway we had the opportunity of an Oak Table and 6 chairs for £100 so thats where we are.
Its in good condition but needs a little work.

It has a light varnish which is a little too yellow for my tastes.
Im going to go town with it and will give the table and chairs a full ru down over several sandpaper grades.

So once I'm back to bare wood what products, processes and recommendations are open to me to re-finish and bring the set back to life.

Indoors.

Was thinking about one of the Osmo Oils.
Looking for something to bring out the grain in a clear, non-gloss finish which doesn't remain Tacky for ages as this will be an indoor project due to the overall weight of the Table.

Osmo top oil is what I've used. But only indoors
