I am almost ready to make a start on kitchen rebuild
our kitchen is not huge but bigger than we need
the walls are pretty rough
SWMBO would like some shelving at the back of worktop between base and wall cabs
happy doing that
so my question is,is it acceptable to build base units 700mm deep and fit standard tops and take up the gap at back with shelves \ splashbacks?
this would result in the fact I dont have to scribe the worktop
the units would have slightly more storage
the base units dont need to take account of uneven walls
must be a reason why this is not done?
