Something to do with disposal of excess parts for the ETS line perhaps? Thats a complete guess.

I really hope festool don't bring out lesser tools to compete on price like all the other makes have done. The whole point of festool for me is that once I've got over spending a billion quid I can be pretty sure the tool is going to be as good as it can be ( or pretty close).

They have started dealing with screwfix, so they might need something to fill that direct retail channel?

It's just a one off limited edition that festool USA are releasing on Nov 1st and they're also doing them in Canada. It's supposedly to get new people into festool as the price is lower. It's turned into a bit of a joke as in the States they've sold too many too quick and they're not sure they're going to meet all the pre orders.

It's an absolute bargain I've even tried to get one myself but they put a hold on pre sales before I'd seen the deal.
