I am new to this forum and Turning as I only started in May last year with a Record DML36 lathe I have since upgraded to a Union Graduate as I was fed up with chasing the lathe round the garage, great bargain from Ebay (Christmas Present to my self ) I would like to post some pictures of my attempts,but not sure how to do it Help Please

well you have certainly been busy Roger.

Is that Gorgonzola I can see nestled amongst those grapes. umm if it is when can I come round to look at your lathe.

You have been busy and good to seey ou trying different pieces.
Did you burn the edge on the natural edge piece :?:

The black was under the bark when I cleaned it of and then used danish oil about 5 coats.


The Beech is nearly too soft to turn in places.

I nearly lost the edge in the very light area.

I am trying some Hollow forms next will post when I have done them.

In Beech again as I have some large lumps.

Looks as though you have some big pieces there Roger. What lathe have you got. Do you just do bowls at the moment ? As said, a good variety of styles and shapes.
