New Addition to the Family

With Philly's little trip Stateside he was able to bring back a nice little package from Konrad Sauer.
As well as there being some small offcuts of Brazilian Rosewood (leftovers from the 6 planes) and some shavings from all the planes, there was this in the bottom of the box.

I got a box of stuff from Axminster the other day and there wasn't one of those at the bottom. I feel cheated

It's a sweet little plane - smaller than a block plane. BUt very pretty - the Rosewood infill is sublime! =P~

No they were all handmade made by Konrad, wondeful young chap with an amazing skill in plane making.

I had to forgo the Westonbirt gig, this year, where I believe I might have stumbled across Konrad; and a few more woodworkers?

Mind you I might have been tempted to buy and there's someone else here who keeps an eye on that sort of thing!

You know I can't really answer your question on the blade, its the sort of thing I left to Konrad.
