New 2 3/8” plane blade.

I’ve a No7 with a Clifton blade I bought maybe in the late 90s or early 2000s which needs replacing.

This is one I’ve got at work and is used almost daily hence the wear rate,and I’ve managed to eek out a bit more life out of it by extending the slot, which I can’t next time.

I’ve a Lie Nielsen blade on my 020c and a Karl Holtey on one of my No5s which hold an excellent edge but things have advanced since then and newer things have come along.

I did buy a Ryder from Axminster but it’s absolute rubbish and won’t hold an edge, hence why I ground the slot longer on the Clifton.

Anyone who uses these for a living any recommendations?
