Help People 8-[ I have to design and make a golf trophy base.
Have got past the design stage but I need a couple of bowl blanks of Indian Rosewood (Sonokeling) can anyone suggest the best place to get it from. [-o<
Not many decent wood suppliers here in Romford. :(

Thank you Ray, but it is Bowl blanks I want not spindle ones.
This is for a base under a big chunk of crystal

Axminster had them when I was in there last. Did you see that chunk I gave to Allen? Can't remember if they had bigger sizes, might be worth a call (Sittingbourne branch).

Also try giving Exotic Timbers (Timberline) a call in Tonbridge. He's quite expensive, but has a lot of stock.

Hi John -

If you struggle, I can maybe help you - Saw some in 'Burhouse 2.O'
http://www.jeanburhouse.com/ ( They do Mail-Order ) * at Dunkeld last week, and my usual source ( Aberdeenshire hardwoods ) usually has some.

If needs be - I could arrange to pick some up and send it.

If it got you out of a hole - I have a bit about 5 x 3, trued to a cylinder already, so the wax is off, but its dry and stable... if you needed in a hurry, I could send you that bit, if it'd help..
PM if you need to !

* - Its not 'listed' on their 'Round Blanks' section... give them a bell on 01350 727723

Jenx :)

Thank you Jenx
that is very thoughtful of you, fortunately my client (Daughter's father-in-law) tells me there's no gallop. His expression for, no hurry.
So I have time to look around.

Thanks Carl,
I'm at this moment climbing around the internet looking for the place that's going to charge me the least.
