Myford ML8 Serial Number

Hi on a sunny day
Is there any way of establishing by serial number when ML8 lathes were made?
I have one with S/N 119763, It cant be as easy as month 11 in 1997 and no 63 that day as I think they stopped in the 80's. How about 63 (1963) sometime?
Does anyone know? The current Myford say do not have an wood lathe records!

I don't think there is a list of Myford serial numbers for the wood lathes - only the metal ones.

If it's any help mine is 128276 and was new in 1976, so it's a fair guess that yours dates from 63. Early ones were cream and later ones (like mine) silver but I don't know when they changed over.
