Its taken a few years to get to this point - but I am almost kitted up for a steady woodworking retirement. Yes I have to share a double garage with a van but by leaving the side door open its a seat and work surface. No windows by design just don't want to make it an easy target. You may have seen more than my fair share of old school benches with vices and a lathe. I acquired them as the school changed the use of 2 old stile workshops to motor vehicles and building. But what a waste of lovely equipment - gas forge - lathes metal + wood - grinders - band saw - table saws - belt sanders - wielding - milling - Compressed air - benches - all stored outside - worst thing was I was the man who changed them over and then employed as teacher of construction and motor vehicles yes very confusing.
I saved as much as I could just wish my garage had been ready at that time or I'd known about this site I was giving and delivering to anybody who wanted it. Oh well I am now retired from teaching and have every thing except a router. But have developed a strange habit of collecting wood and a slight hatred of wood burners, even worse I keep lusting for more equipment - is this a symptom of old age or just the green eyed syndrome !!
