Congrats on the new toy - Looks to be quite a beast. You're new wife can expect to see lot less of you from Wednesday!

Wow thats fantastic Pete ! ....
bet you can't wait !!

Looks like a really nice bit of kit....
And that VSC should be brilliant !

Enjoy that, when it arrives... perhaps a picture or two ? ....

Suitably gloat-worthy, as is Pauls.

Brilliant .... sounds like we will be seeing some great work coming off these new machines very soon, well done Pete, thats excellent, I'm real pleased for you ! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I was looking at those a few months ago (when I still had money) and the spec is certainly pretty high. Be interested in how it turns out.

Pete

hi BSM
would be interested in your appraisel of said machine, i also looked at this model, its the new one from Richards lathe.
enjoy...

Looks a very capable machine, will be interested to have your assessment of the DC Motor performance (torque) at slow speed..

Hi BSM,
Lucky you!
You aren't fed up with the wife already are you - sloping off to the workshop at every opportunity
As Steve and Chas have already said, it would be interesting to read your thoughts on this machine if you don't mind posting them.

Malc :D

That looks like a sturdy beast. Hours of fun lay ahead me thinks!

Just one piece of advice though ... don't try to make things fair by offering your new wife a new washing machine [-X .... you may end up wearing a lathe as a scarf!!

Big Soft Moose my aunts whatsit, ordered on your Honeymoon no less     How did you get away with that.
Looks a super lathe hope you have much great turning on it. What a great way to remember your Honeymoon :p   :?: REgards Boysie

I can't think why you are excited.

A new lathe. Rather have one of those over a new Mercedes any day.

Look forward to seeing how you get on with it.

Health to enjoy.

I'll be very interested in hearing what you think of it because my mate and I compared it to my Jet 1442 and decided the Axminster was a better machine for the money.

Mark Whats a Mercedes

Moose , that is a serious bit of kit, hope you have many happy hours with it. How did you manage that at the end of the honeymoon

I only ever get to see them drive in the other direction or over take me in my slow mobile.
