SWMBO bought a small floor standing bathroom unit, it was delivered on Thursday by MyHermes, the corrugated cardboard box was approx 3' x 1' x 1' and covered in FRAGILE tape, it was raining on Thursday, we were out so the delivery driver pushed a card through the letter box saying, 1 parcel 'over locked gate', the gate is 6' high, the parcel was 'dropped' over the gate, in the rain.

Not only was the unit broken but also MRMDF may be resistant to moisture, but it's not designed to be left out in the rain.

The wife managed to speak to someone from the shop, she was told just package it back up and it will be collected, now picture if you can a corrugated box that has been left out in the rain all day, when the wife explained there was very little of the box left the nice lady from customer support said, "could you possibly email us some pictures and just throw the cabinet away", as the title says, MY HERMES MY A**E.

Rank over.

I ship things all the time and my herpes is the worst, anyone can get a job working for then no road tax insurance mot or driving licence required just an old car with bald tyres.

I think the fault is with the delivery person not the company.

Over the years I've had good service, both sending and receiving parcels, from many carriers
I've not found Hermes any worse than any other.

As with most carriers big name or small, it is down to the integrity of the individual drivers. Our Hermes ladies have been very good and Yodel similarly.

The woman who delivers MyHermes to me is absolutely fine. On the plus side, she has big knockers and wears low cut tops

You'll get a black eye...the only question is from what....the good lady's right hand, or the good lady's you-know-what if you gawp too close.....

Thats where shes gone then! :(
We've a middle aged bearded woman in a Mondeo now .

After using numerous couriers, I tried Hermes, and 50 odd parcels later, only one issue- which to this day I believe was far from their fault.

Must be different around your parts. I have had loads of deliveries this year from ebay sellers and everyone delivered my hermes has been in a new sign written hermes van.

They have lost things and broken a plane brought thins back as they never found the places. Loads of times never turned up to collect we send thousands a year and since using UPS never had a problem.

I can't fault My Hermes. I have a cracking woman driver too =P~ =P~ \:D/ \:D/

Hey ricle,,,do we live in the same area ? ,,"cos I"m buying things just to get that little cracker to come to my door !!!!

I was expecting delivery of a new Festool guide rail today, and when I heard the door ring I rushed downstairs only to see the delivery man running back to his van after having stuffed my order of a 2400mm guide rail THROUGH the letterbox.

Where do they find these people??

I've had several items from My Hermes thrown over the back garden gate, landing on concrete, and faking my signature..

One was a Record no 71 router plane, cast iron, in a thin card box, no padding, cracked in two. Got refund from seller.
Another was a brace, wraped in bubble wrap and brown paper, had a wobbly loose wooden top "pad", I don't know if it was caused by the fall but I still got a refund from the seller. A wooden plane got thrown over but that was wrapped in a bit of blanket and I think survived the fall. I hope the sellers got full compensation.

I agree it's down to the individual courier, who are apparently "self employed", but if the company gets complaints and carry on employing them then I would say blame the company. Other companies aren't neccessarily any better, I've had Royal Mail drop a "you were out" card through the door when I've been in all day. But at least with RM, the collection place is only down the road.

Very poor packaging - the seller shouldn't get compensation.

Happened to me on couple occasions - BUT the RM collection isn't "just down the road" for me. I moaned and they sent out a same day special delivery.

Had a couple things by Hermes delivery this morning - on time and no problems.
