Recently I bought a CL4 off Rob. This is the first piece I made with it - apart from marks on the bottom where I should have spent more time getting rid of tool marks I'm very happy with it. The transitions inside are pleasing when felt. It is about 4.5" tall including the finial.
While we were chatting in Rob's workshop we were talking about maker's marks, I have coined mine the 'Davey Dimple'! Simple dimple surrounded by two close lines and another line between centre and rim of foot.
This is made from spalted ash with a purple heart finial, both given to me by Rob.
I will take it back to the workshop and get rid of those marks! (hammer)
